Goods for your own use and goods intended for resale should not be treated as the same import task. Check the product and intended use against the Israeli authorities’ current requirements before purchase.
What to agree before starting
Prepare a truthful product description, invoice, quantity and intended use. Some goods require approvals or are restricted. For personal imports, the Israel Tax Authority provides a product-based tax calculator and import requirements information.
Cost & confirmation
We do not promise a tax exemption or publish a fixed tax threshold. Check current official requirements for your product; the calculator is a reference and legislation takes precedence.
Describe the real use of the goods
- For your own or family use: describe the item, quantity and intended use.
- For a store, resale, production or business activity: describe the commercial purpose and importer.
- If the purpose is unclear, ask before choosing a declaration. A small parcel does not establish its import category.
Use the official tool that fits the purpose
The Tax Authority provides personal-import product and tax information. For commercial goods, the Ministry of Economy and Industry publishes product-specific import requirements. Check the actual classification and required approvals; we do not turn a general guide into a final tax or import decision.
Questions along the way
Does ordering one item always make it a personal import?
The intended use and applicable requirements matter. Explain whether it is for your own use or for business, rather than relying only on the number of items.
Can I assume a sample has no tax or declaration requirement?
No. State its actual purpose and value and check the applicable requirements. “Sample” is not a general promise of exemption.
